Ksenija Beverin, 50, of Hillsdale, New Jersey, passed away on May 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1966 on the small island of Sali, Croatia and emigrated to the United States in 1990. Since that time she has always held Sali near and dear to her heart and engrained her culture and passion for the sea in her family. Loving daughter of Neda Piasevoli and the late Ivo Armanini. Beloved wife of Miro Beverin. Devoted mother of Daniel Beverin and Christine Beverin. Dear sister of Bruna Teslich and her husband, Darko, Milena Denona and her husband, Dejan and Lovre Armanini and his wife, Mirta. Loving daughter-in-law of Sam Beverin and the late Rita. Loving sister-in-law of Frances Connelly and her husband, Brian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She shared her time willingly and happily within the community, always willing to help out, especially in a time of need. She was dedicated to her church, being a CCD teacher for many years and a frequent volunteer, formerly a Girl Scout Troup leader and generously donated to many charitable causes, both here and in her native Sali. She enjoyed many years working in the classroom throughout both Hillsdale and River Vale schools. The children of her classrooms have benefitted from her artistic abilities and enthusiasm for the classroom. Most importantly, Ksenija was a devoted mother and wife. She never missed an opportunity to support her children in all of their endeavors such as soccer matches, school concerts, and all of their extracurricular activities. Never deemed any accomplishment too small to celebrate. Ksenija will be dearly missed by so many. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, May 16 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Ksenija's faith and life will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Wednesday, May 17 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Becker-funeralhome.com
